BG: I am 59. I suspect your age is close to mine. :D
I lived through the exact same times as you. Geez I miss them.
94cobra69ss396: Truce is cool. Heck, we weren't arguing anyway. Just different points of view is all
Here's the Cobra I'd cut off both nuts for. 427 King Cobra.

SeanPlunk: I suggest you browse through some current grade school and high school history books and stop at the Civil War. Look at the REASON they give for why it was fought. Complete BS. Of course, the victors get to write history any way they want ;)
My boss just bought one of those about 9 months ago. It's made by Superformance and he has the Roush Performance 427R motor in it. It's a sweet car. I prefer the Factory Five Type 65 Coupe. I'm not sure that the wife and I will fit in one (I'm 6'4" and she's 6'2") but if we can I'm going to build one of these when my kids are older.

And by the way I will probably build it to be a daily driver as well, just won't have TV's in it.

Your wife is 6'2"? Your girls are going to be tall. Get them playing basketball now and maybe you can get a scholarship out of it later. Then you could use the college fund money to buy a FF Type 65 Coupe

That's a 427 small block, right? I prefer the old 427 FE medium rise side oiler.
Parts are tough to find, but it's UNBREAKABLE. I think there was a rumor Shelby was gonna build an aluminum version of it. Not sure if he did or not. But the cost would be astronomical.

Yep, she's 6'2" and that is exactly what she did. She played basketball for the University of California Riverside.

Yes, it's based on the 9.5 Windsor engine and makes 550hp. I think he even said it had a warranty on it. The block is made by Dart and the redline is 6250 so I don't think he'll have issues with the engine blowing. With 550hp and somewhere in the neighborhood of 2500lbs I think it will end up crashed before the engine blows. The second time he took it out he spun it in the mountains coming out of a corner.

There's an original Daytona Supercoupe here in the KC area. One badazz ride IMHO. Owned by a guy that has a string of lumberyards.
I'm not what you could call a big Ford fan, but those Cobra's are the stuff.

None that I can think of. MAYBE the two ZL-1 Vettes. But I don't think they sold anywhere near that price.

The answer is yes, it's worth exactly that because that's what somebody is willing and able to pay.
